When I first started planning and setting up this poetry blog back in August 2021, I did not imagine that, five years down the road, I would be the author of six volumes of poems! I published the sixth and final volume, Twin Flames, almost two years after Friends, which was released in September 2024.
I had initially planned to publish Twin Flames in 2025, but my mother’s sudden passing followed by serious illness in my close family circle left me emotionally drained and devoid of any creative urges. Simply making it through each new day and facing each new challenge felt like an achievement in itself. I just did not have the capacity to think or plan ahead. 2025 felt like a year from hell.
I finally started working on Twin Flames in late 2025, and by early 2026 the goal of publishing this volume became real.
But first, a bit about me for those visiting my blog for the first time or who are not familiar with my story. I am not a professional writer, in fact, I have a long career in the corporate world. Poetry is my passion.
A poetic journey of four decades
I started writing poems in 1981 at the young age of 13, following a deep personal trauma. I needed an outlet for my raw and powerful emotions, to find relief, release, and ultimately, redemption.
The topics I wrote about were very personal, private, and at times, dark – unrequited love, desire, pain, betrayal, and my budding sexuality. Many of my poems also had a spiritual undertone. The maturity and depth of my poems written as a young girl belied my age, and I now believe they might have been memories from a previous life.
After a hiatus of almost four decades, I started writing again. I realised then that the time had come to publish my old poems, and I launched my poetry blog in November 2021.
My mission is to make the voice of my younger self heard.
Memories from another Lifetime
Memories from another Lifetime is a series of my poems written as a young girl, and in November 2022 I published the first book in the series, Pain. By August 2023 I had published three more books in Kindle format – Love, Desire, and Soul – all within the course of only 10 months! I did all the work in the evening and on weekends, on top of a demanding corporate job.
I then set myself a personal goal for 2024 of making the first four volumes available in paperback. This was no mean feat for me! Pain came out in paperback in April 2024, and all four books were available as paperbacks by July that year. I was proud to be able to fulfil my goal and make it to the finishing line. Once the first four books were released as paperbacks, I began working on the volume which would ultimately be released as Friends.
All my books have found an appreciative audience and have been received well, and I am truly grateful for all the warm reviews. I am also very grateful and honoured to have been interviewed by esteemed fellow authors – I have felt seen and validated in my mission.
Twin Flames
Twin Flames is a compilation of poems written in recent years – the very poems that sparked my journey of poetic rediscovery and led to launching this blog and publishing Memories from another Lifetime. I have chosen to include these newer poems as part of the series to show the progression in my poetry over four decades. I have come full circle with this book.
I also believe this volume is a fitting conclusion to the series, as it encompasses all the themes of the first five volumes – pain, love, desire, spirituality, and friendship.
Even though I experienced the twin flame journey through human emotions, I have come to understand it as a spiritual journey, in which the soul evolves from darkness to light, from despair to acceptance, and from pain to ascension.
The soul is transformed forever.
Snippets from Twin Flames
The poems in Twin Flames are very personal and deal with the themes of love, loss, healing, and the journey of the soul. They were born from trauma, shaped by longing, touched by spirituality, and, ultimately, transformed by acceptance and inner growth
Here are a few snippets from poems in Twin Flames.

‘Let him go.
Let him flow –
Let the sunset mourn him
Let him glow.
Feel him in your song –
Where does he belong?
Not with you.’
From Letting Go
‘Let our souls
Shine like stars
Let us shed
Our mortal scars.
Pale morning sky
Gentle hues
The sun still shy –
A new day has begun.‘
From Sunrise
