I wrote Sadness in 2019. It is part of the series called Twin Flames. Sadness is an inevitable part of the human experience, to be endured and overcome. Compare this poem to Words (2019), also part of the series.

Sadness wrapped me like a shroud

I felt the clutch of unnamed fears

I felt the weight of unsaid words

I felt the heat of unshed tears.

I surrender illusions of control

And yearn to regain peace of mind

I pray the Lord does not forsake me

But sends me healing, just and kind.

A very in-depth poetic description of reality for those who have experienced such feelings. Capturing.
