I wrote this poem in 1985, 17 years old. Faith describes the exalting nature of a pure and unconditional love. Compare this poem to the despair evident in A Message to the Unknown Beloved (1984).
I cherish you
And believe in your dreams
I have faith in the visions
That gently leave
The heavy-lidded coffee eyes
And fly heavenward to emerald skies.
Oh, I have faith
In the stillness of love –
In the depths of your devotion
My stormy soul
Shall find its peace.
And you shall claim me one day
From the barbarous throngs of Men –
You shall uplift me
From my sacrificial ashes
Ah, the Phoenix shall rise again!
And together
Our spirits shall endure the Experience
Expose the Truth
And comprehend the Answer.
We shall glide towards
The Eternal Light
Two angels
Wrapped in robes of white
Of Purity.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It is such a precious gift, everyone wants to tell the world about it! But only a few are capable to fully express what it is… and you are one of those gifted poets, Vanita! Thank you 💋
